Roslagen’s maritime museum in Älmsta, shows exhibitions about Rospiggen’s maritime traditions, including with respect to the Viking Age, sea mail and modern ferry traffic. Furthermore, archipelago fishing, archipelago sailing, the loading ramps, sails and steam, boat building traditions, barges, timber towing and maritime service industries are shown: lighthouses, pilotage and sea rescue. The history of the Väddö canal is also covered in the museum.
