Albert Engström museet

Albert Engström’s studio is a listed building in Uppland. Albert Engström designed the house with the help of his student Carl Hagsten. It was clear in 1907 on a cliff near the sea outside Grisslehamn, slightly less than half a kilometer from Albert Engström’s residence. The studio is painted in Falu red on the south and east facades, but is painted white on the facades to the east and north to better serve as a sea mark. Albert Engström had the house as a studio until his death in 1940 and it has been left untouched since then. The studio is run by the Albert Engström Society. It is a building monument since 1975.
